California Dreaming

Decided to catch a little magic hour at one of my favorite beaches in California.  I am continuously humbled by the beauty this world has to offer.  When I feel negativity enter my life, I like to follow the sun to the ocean.  Life will have its highs and its lows, but even in troubled times, stopping to appreciate the beauty that exists within and around us readjust our energy from negativity to positivity.  The ocean is a physical and literal metaphor that communicates this to us daily.

Teaming Up With China

I’m so excited to share with you all that I have been scheduled to Direct my first ever foreign property.  A comedy show that aims to bring traditionally rival cultures together (China, Korea, Japan).  When I first read the script I was laughing so hard, and love the message that it is communicating overall.  I really cannot wait to share this one with you all!  The show is a TV series that will air in China for Chinees audiences and we are currently in the process of locking in U.S. distribution as well.  Stay Tuned!

You’re My Boy Blue!

When my older brother and sister-in-law told me they were having a sex party I wasn’t sure what to do. …No, not that kind of…get your mind out of the gutter (lol).  I was so excited to find out if I was going to have a nephew or a niece.  The idea is that you wear Angle Red if you think they are having a girl or Dodger Blue if you think they are having a boy.  If any of you know me personally you know that despite my Orange County roots, I am and will forever be an LA Dodger fan.  So I wore blue.  Lets find out what my bother’s first kid will be!

Bad Weather, Good Vibes

Tried to catch some waves this morning, but the waves were not very good… kind of like me trying to surf.  But despite the poor conditions, it’s still always a fun time paddling out and messing around in the water with my two close friends John, and John (yes they have the same name).  I may not have caught many waves, but I caught these two making the most out of a not so great situation.  Nothing but good vibes when you’re at the beach (unless it’s a hurricane).

Powda’Bunga!

Took a quick trip up to Mammoth this weekend to shred in the powder fields at Mammoth Mountain.  I can’t remember the last time the snow conditions were this good!  Nothing but bluebird skies and fresh powder to fall into… did I mention a lot of falling lol.  Had such a blast, and can not wait to go again!

Joining The Jacobs

MY SISTER GOT MARRIED… TO MY LONG TIME CHILDHOOD FRIEND!! A classic high school sweetheart story, Diana and Jarrod’s relationship started freshman year at Foothill High in Orange County. Their relationship grew stronger over the years and throughout college at The University of Oregon. Through 6 years of adventure, they celebrated more than just their anniversary on Pre’s Trail in Eugene, Oregon. It was the beginning to a new frontier that both Diana and Jarrod would face with all the excitement in their hearts.

The Best of Kishi Bashi

Have you heard of Kishi Bashi?  If you haven’t, you need to check him out now!  Influenced by ELO and Pink Floyd, they offer a unique sound that is fun, energetic, and experimental.  I figured with the release of their newest album, Sonderlust, I’d share a post with you all about this talented band based in Seattle.  If you’re looking for some tasty tunes, check out my favorites listed below (Click on the title/ text).   The best of Kishi Bashi (…according to me):

It all began with a burst   |   Philosophize In It! Chemicalize With It!   |     Q&A    |   I Am the Antichrist to You   |   Bright Whites   |   Statues in a Gallery  |   Hey Big Star   |   Hahaha Pt.1   |   Can’t Let Go, Juno

Jumping Into Action!

I was humbled today when I had received a call from Bryan Oki to help participate in the collaboration of his latest company, Chorus.  Bryan Oki and Dick Costolo (former CEO of Twitter) have teamed up to change the fitness and health industry in very big ways.  What they are creating is spectacular but it is still in the development phase so unfortunately, I cannot disclose too much at this point.  But what I can tell you is that we are now in production to create some exciting content that aims to do more than show you the right way to do squats; much much more.  It’s all very exciting and if you want to read more about it check out what Vanity Fair has to say about it.

Almost There…

I have to apologize for not being very active here on the blog as of late, I’ve been spending a good amount of time teaching my self how to rebuild/ code my new website.  It needs a facelift and I will be adding some cool new features like a shop and some other fun content.  As I am almost done coding my website, I decided to open it up to the public for testing and feedback from people like you!  Let me know what you think… what do you like, what don’t you like, and what would you like to see more of?  I am open to any and all suggestions and want to give you the opportunity to help collaborate with me!  So click around, and let me know what you think in the comments below!
