Continuing the adventure through Cambodia, our company decided to spend a few days at the largest religious monument on the planet, Angkor Wat. This sophisticated temple complex is just over an astonishing 401 acres and was originally a Hindu temple for the Khmer Empire. However, toward the end of the 12-century, it was transformed into a Buddhist temple.  It remains to be an admired UNESCO World Heritage Site for its grandeur and harmony of the architecture and symbolic dedication built by the Khmer King, Suryavarman.
