Traveling through Ubud Monkey Forest, one thing became very apparent; we were not alone. Teaming with more than five different groups of monkeys looking down at us atop the tall trees, we cautiously walked into this boisterous Hindu Temple. Continuing deep into the forest, we came across a large group of monkeys that were fighting. I noticed off to the side a mother and her kin. The fear in the baby’s eyes as it reaches for its mother’s hand instantly captivated my attention. This image made me realize the value parents hold in providing comfort and wisdom to their children and shaping the character of the next generation.
